Comments:
Because I compete in triathlons I mostly ride a road bike. I was seeking a nice solid bike for all around use. This bike far exceeded my expectations. It has a very comfortable ride. Braking is solid and bike handles curves well. I have actually gotten the bike up to 18 MPH. It is surprisingly quick. A great well built bike at a can t beat price.

We went from beach cruisers to these. I'm in my 40's and the cruisers just weren't cutting it anymore. Even though they were 3 speeds, towing a child and climbing hills was a challenge. We decided on these hybrids; my wife and I both got one. While the seating position and general comfort isn't as good as the cruisers, the performance, and lack of struggle far outweighs them! On the cruisers I was spent after a couple miles. The Verve lets me put on triple that.

Rode to work 150 times last year. I have back and joint problems and this bike lets me ride in a position that is comfortable for all my issues. Great on the street and great on the trails at Penninsula State Park. I will be 54 in April and this is the best bike I have ever owned. Let my Twin brother use it when we were camping and I had a hard time getting it back. He's getting one this Spring.

I was undecided for quite awhile about purchasing a Trek since having ridden a motorcycle for 20 years. WOW!! This is fun. Am so glad I visited my local bike shop for a garage door opener problem (chain). I not only got the part I needed but I also bought the 2016 Verve 2, the black and silver one. Now help me break the news to my wife. I'll be 68 next birthday. I wonder if I will make a run to Sturgis next summer on it.

An overall great Bike. Comfortable, Fast and easy to ride. Nice range of gearing too. I'm a road biker, so I'm not sure how rugged it would be on unpaved trails.

Comments:
A good on road and some off road riding, but not like a true mountain bike. Riding the back roads and streets, this is the perfect bike. A lot of gears (21) to make the ride easy. The upright position and larger seat makes a more comfortable ride. If your looking for speed, this may not be the right bike, but for the casual rider, I can't think of a better bike.

Comments:
I love this bike! It fits me well because I'm a very tall lady. I got the 22.5 size.I purchased the men's bike and it's no problem getting on or off it. Plus it fits on my car's bike rack without me having to use the adapter like on my old women's bike. I love how this bike is so light and fast compared to my old "tank" of a bike. Now, my husband can't keep up with me when we ride. Love, Love, Love It!

Comments:
Trek Verve 2 is a great bike for people who want to enjoy a nice bike ride. It doesn't do the extreme terrain of a mountain bike or give the speed and distance riding of a road bike, but if your in between these needs, you will be impressed with this bike. It has the geometry that allows for comfortable and upright riding posture that won't stress your neck, shoulders and wrists.

Comments:
60th birthday present from wife to an ex athlete who has bad knees and hates to "jog" or "walk". Easy to ride, carry, and service. Looks great as well. Got it at Bike Doctor of Annapolis.....they are terrific with service and support. Car dealers should take a page from their book.
