Although it is advertised it works with strava, it doesn't. Not in Android. Bad bad acquisition. Can't use it.
I've only been able to use it a few times so far but each time it's been a hassle to use. Getting the unit to connect to the Fitness app isn't reliable at all and I've had to remove the device and re-add it each time to get it to work. That said, once connected it works very well as a head-unit displaying ride data from the app. Once finished with a workout, however, the problems start again as the app crashes whenever sending data to Strava. At the price ($30 for black friday) it's still a pretty good deal if I can find a workaround for the crashing.
I always carry my phone, so I just wanted something simple to display what was on my phone, and not spend £££s on a GPS device. At the sale price I couldn't complain. After pairing with the phone (a bit fiddly) I set up my custom screens and within minutes I was ready to go. Run the Wahoo app, phone in back pocket, press the Start button and you're off. When finished uploading to other fitness sites is a doddle. Would be good if they could make Android features on a par with IOS though.
Was planning on getting one of these from Amazon until I saw it on sale here on Black Friday. I read all the reviews and cane to the conclusion that I would be fine. Mine came in, came right out of the box and synced up with my LG V20 phone and hadn't given me any problems at all. What a perfect device!!! Thank you!!!
I bougth this computer last month with a very good discount. At this price there are notany other computer with more eficiency, curacy and options. I use it with IPhone 5S and with greatfull results. It shows you BPM, cadence, on time velocity, average velocity, trining time, training distance, laps, segments, everything you imegine. You can tray Wahoo fitness app and this computer will be the same in a little and ligth screen in your bike. Every option is configurable and you can configure differents screens for diferent kind of trainings, running, cycling, indoor, MTB, on Road, everytihing you can imagine The only fail is that you must take your mobile near (I bring my movil in a undersit bag) The best of this choice y the great, great, great, great support, when I have a trouble its have been resolved in one day even better than before. I usually ride with Whoo fitness app and muy RFLKT and after finished I import the ride from wahoo to strava. I only miss GPS utility with guidance (baut I understand because for this price is impossible) so I'm thinking buy ELEMENT
I had quite a few problems getting the set up right, but now it works a treat. I now exclusively use the Wahoo app as getting reliable connection with strava was a PITA. I have cadence & heart monitors plus the rflkt connected to the phone (6s) and now it's just jump on & ride. I can go out for 2 hours on 20% batts and listen to tunes all the way. I was annoyed about no longer supporting Strava, but not so bothered now. Pretty simple to just upload to Strava post ride. Happy that the wahoo app now pauses when stationary (more cups!).
I want to get on my bike and ride. But no, first I need to reboot my phone, turn my blue tooth off and then on again, reboot my Reflkt +, try it all again in a different sequence and hope for the best. The connectivity is a joke. Is it ready for Android? I have perservered with this for months, but it is so frustrating. 80% of rides I have spend 5 to 10 mins fiddling about to get the thing synched. That is simply not good enough, when there are competitor products that just switch on and go. I don't want a product that needs coaxing into life nearly every time I use it. I don't want a product that makes me feel grateful and relieved when it works. Life's to short for me to be compensating for Wahoo's shortfalls in putting a substandard product into the market
I was reviews prior to purchasing the computer and one of them mentioned their difficulty in getting the device setup. My experience was the same. If Wahoo's is the app being used with the RFLKT you are home free. If not you may experience some frustration. The device will work right out of the box with the default displays but I wanted my primary display to be customized. It took some time to figure out the process necessary to accomplish that goal. Wahoo's support organization was willing and able to provide me with the instruction needed to get me on the right track. Their response time was excellent.
Been using cyclemeter for some time now. Had it paired to my Apple Watch for Heart Rate. Added RFLKT and the Blue Speed and Cadence Sensors. Talk about a winning combination -- love it. 2hrs or riding, less than 10% of iphone battery drained. Note: I would have given it 5 stars, but I had some issues. They were my own fault. I got stuck in a low battery issue on the RFLKT. I was testing Cyclemeter, Wahoo Fitness App, Wahoo Utility and somehow things got messed up. The fix - take out the RFLKT battery, clear the sensors from all Apps, replace the battery -- reset if need be the RFKLT, reboot the phone and just pick 1 app and use that.
Bought the unit and have gotten been able to synchronize the time of day or IOS battery life. Also, there's a low battery message that pops up every few days. I've replaced with a new battery only to get the same message. I think that the battery comes loose from the connector because when I open it and replace it starts working again. There's times when the unit won't sync to the phone as well. The unit turns off when a session begins. I have to forget the device in my phone and find it again for it to work. Great concept but poor execution as far as I'm concerned.
