Trek's Domane was in secret development for three years. Then, they gave it to Fabian Cancellara to race on. It won. They considered every imaginable factor of frame construction to arrive at the perfect balance of speed, stability, and comfort, and they nailed it. Made from Trek's 600-series OCLV carbon, it's feathery light. Plus, it boasts a huge BB and optimized tube shapes to maximize your pedal power. And it has genius ideas like the IsoSpeed seat tube decoupler that make it comfortable and a dream to ride. Gran Fondos, centuries, long rides on not-so-smooth roads? The Domane is your bike. And, it sports Shimano Ultegra components for great shifting and braking, pro-proven Bontrager controls, and legit Bontrager wheels and 25c tires to seal the deal.

Biking on rail trails, the Berkshire Hills, some mountains. During a recent decent at 46.2 mph, I felt relaxed and completely in control. I haven't detected any deficiencies after 1000 miles of riding. I am 73 y/o and purchased it as a retirement gift for myself. I ride with a friend who has been a competitive hill climber and am trying to improve my abilities after having ridden most of my life in a more casual way on much lesser equipment. What a remarkable transformation the Domane has made. Recently, I was able to ride 11.2 miles at 17 mph with an average cadence of 90. I never had been able to do that before.
Fantastic bike. I bought mine in 2012 and still love it. Great for long rides. Climbs and descends with ease. I don't race, but I did do L'Etape du Tour last year and the Domane performed very well.
trek domane a excellent bike.I rode a cannondale for the past few years when i seen the domane and started to research the bike i new i had to have one.The bike is lightweight, fast, smooth and comfortable.Iam 52 years old and ribe 35 to 45 mile 4 times a week to stay in shape.Do a project one bike and pick your component, wheels, ect.and you will love it.
I'm 75 years old, but ride at least 100+ miles per week for fun and fitness. This is my third Trek bike step-up this year because I wanted to improve my cycling ability, fitness and have fun while riding. Most of my riding is in the bike lanes, but some has to be on bumpy sidewalks and roads. This bike is smooth and comfortable on all surfaces. I actually feel better physically after the rides than I do before I start.I can't say enough good things about the [...] store and the people who work there. They follow a great maxim of business: Under promise, and over deliver. In short, they could not be better or more helpful.
I ordered my Domane right when it was released through project one. Received my bike two weeks later instead of the 60day estimated build time. My first impression is its smooth and comfortable over common roads in [...]. I can't seem to find any cobblestones here but can tell how the isospeed would smooth things out. Its too early for me to give any long term impression being i just got it yesterday. My first choice was a Roubaix but the Domane beats it hands down.
